I live in the north east of England with my husband, four cats called Grace, Jacob, Patch and Peggy-Sue, a very happy staffie called Cassie, a lurcher called Sam and a saluki cross called Bandit. We were both raised in Essex but prefer the friendly, more restful life in the north. My husband and I both suffer with depression although different types. Even though depression is more accepted these days there is still the stigma. It can be very isolating living with depression when other people don’t understand it. I do believe that the more people talk about suffering with depression will be a real form of education.
